Retired crew chief, load master and civil service technician Judi Roberts is one of 10 women profiled in VA’s Women Veteran Athletes Initiative to help celebrate Women’s History Month. In a recent visit to VA headquarters, she shared her story of how sports helped her find success on and off the court.

Veterans Legacy Program: Pfc. Rose F. Puchalla, a woman’s sacrifice during World War II

Pfc. Rose F. Puchalla was one of the nearly 150,000 women who served in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II. Her service contributed an important part to both the war and the future generations of women in the military. In recognition of Women’s History Month, the National Cemetery Administration honors the service and sacrifice of Pfc. Puchalla and the thousands of other women who served during the war.

New appeals status tool

New VA appeals status tool provides tracking and transparency for Veterans

VA launched a new update for the appeals status tracker and now Veterans with a compensation appeal can view their past and current appeals issues, receive alerts for deadlines when action is required, preview the next events in their timeline, and see estimates of how long it will take to reach those events.

Shane served in the Navy from 1991 to 1999 as a Damage Controlman. He served in Japan and Washington state.
