Care and benefits for Veterans strengthened by $186 billion VA budget

In his FY 2018 Budget, President Trump is proposing $186.5 billion for VA. The budget request will ensure the nation’s Veterans receive high-quality health care and timely access to benefits and services.


The 30th of May: A Memorial Day tradition like no other

As far back as anyone can remember, African American Veterans and citizens in the Mississippi River towns of Vidalia, Louisiana, and Natchez, Mississippi, have come together on Memorial Day to honor military service to the country and pay respects to loved ones interred at the Natchez National Cemetery.

This week we honor Coast Guard Veteran Florence Ebersole Smith Finch. Florence served during World War II.

Florence was born in the Philippines. She was working as a secretary for U.S. Army intelligence in Manila when the Japanese invaded the Philippines soon after the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
