A journey to Vietnam, and reconciliation

This month a group of Veterans, VA providers and academics met in Vietnam for a spiritual pilgrimage to process recovering from the Vietnam War. The Veterans came to revisit the country that was destroyed by their actions and to make amends with local Vietnamese for long due atonement.

VETERAN OF THE WEEK

This week we honor Marine Corps Veteran Stacey Thompson.

She served from 1998 to 2000 as a Traffic Management Operator. Her first overseas assignment was in Okinawa, Japan in 1999. While there, Stacey was sexually assaulted by a senior NCO. When she reported the incident, she was separated with an “Other Than Honorable” discharge.
