VA’s Rapid Appeals Modernization Program now open to all appeals

In November 2017, VA launched the Rapid Appeals Modernization Program (RAMP). RAMP provides a unique opportunity for Veterans with a pending disability compensation appeal to have early access to the more efficient review process in the historic Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act of 2017 before the law takes effect in February 2019.

Food truck owner offers jobs and more to Veterans who have experienced homelessness

Securing a job is an essential step to exiting homelessness, but for many homeless Veterans employment is not just hard to find. It can be hard to keep. Veteran Frank Diaz and his Tin Hut BBQ food trucks and catering service are addressing this issue head-on in Diaz’s own backyard on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Public Service Recognition Week encourages service to others

For VA to prosper in its mission of serving our nation’s Veterans, the department must continue to cultivate an inclusive work environment that enables employees to have a voice while sharing their knowledge and contributing their talents and abilities.

 VETERAN OF THE WEEK

This week we honor Army Veteran Evelyn M. Noles Bayer. Evelyn served during World War II from 1944 to 1945.

He served as a Navajo Code Talker with the 1st Marine Division in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.
