VETERAN OF THE WEEK

This week we honor Army Veteran L. C. Netherly.

Netherly enlisted in the Army in 1941.

In June of that year, after completing a night march; the soldiers of his company were swimming at the Baker Hollow Maneuver and Camping Site. A fellow soldier fell into a pond and struggled. Private Netherly went to his aid and pulled him to safety.
