The Department of Homeland Security and Hire Our Heroes have teamed up to offer training for Veterans in cybersecurity, in support of Veterans join our nation’s cybersecurity workforce.

When Kenneth James Cline was declared legally blind, daily tasks became difficult and depression soon set in. The St. Louis VAMC, helped him make adjustments to his daily routine and increase his quality of life.

Finding help and hope with a 3 a.m. call to Veterans Crisis Line

After spending night after sleepless night in despair, an Air Force Veteran picked up the phone and dialed the Veterans Crisis Line. She woke up the next day for the first time in a long time with a glimmer of hope.

This week we honor Desmond Doss.

Desmond lived his life as a Seventh-day Adventist and became the first conscientious objector to be awarded the Medal of Honor. As a combat medic during World War II, he saved 75 lives in Okinawa.
