Veteran

Army Veteran survives multiple medical challenges and is now inspiring other Veterans at annual VA event

Adam Greathouse is an Army Veteran, corporal in the Third Infantry Division, Field Artillery. In 2001, near the end of his duty day in Kosovo, his sergeant gave him the rest of the day off so he took a nap. When he woke up, he couldn’t move. There was pressure on his chest and he started hallucinating.

The National VA TEE Tournament, in partnership with the Disabled Veterans of America (DAV), is an opportunity for Veterans to engage in therapy through golf and other activities like horseback riding and canoeing. Another opportunity that the TEE Tournament provides is respite for the companions of the participants, caregivers who are spouses, children, or friends of the Veteran, to take a break from their regular schedules and connect with other caregivers
